Ah, pastors who don't know when to quit. I have been there but would like to suggest you try some of what Phil suggested. Don't rely very much on the priest/pastor to feed you.
You say you connect with Jesus many times during the day which is great! But I would like to know more about what YOU mean by 'connecting' with Jesus. Also are you into any scriptural reading at this time. I would highly recommend a book on prayer called WHEN IN DOUBT, SING..author is Jane Redmont. {sorry, tis not by Phil}. Also there are saints...St. Teresa...there is THE WAY OF THE PILGRIM.
Now, what to do while the 'man' goes on and on and on....try a mental prayer. You didn't give your denomination, but you could easily look down at your hands and mentally repeat a prayer....or even sing a song --silently, of course.
Anyway, hope you find something that will help. I am in sympathy with you!
blessings, and grace,
