unconditional is unconditional is unconditional
per Viktor Frankl, meaning will either endure the fact that millions perished in the Holocaust and other 20th Century abominations or will collapse in the face of the suffering of one innocent child
surrender, unconditionally, to the claims you feel truth, beauty, justice/goodness and love making on you
there is something within us, always choosing a fundamental attitude toward uncertain reality
even, if as nihilists, we choose nonsupposition and nonassertion, we have chosen and have aligned our existential compasses with the magnetic south of no-meaning
especially as theists, in choosing a hermeneutic with life-affirming presuppositions, we have chosen and have aligned our existential compasses with the magnetic north of meaning
that this compass exists, along with meaning's polarities, arouses our suspicions
the very second that the needle of our existential compass quivers, there is a rudimentary stirring of existential trust within and it doesn't matter with which pole it aligns, for in the very process of aligning it has somehow chosen unconditional trust, even if only in itself
it is this unconditional trust which we might nurture and then leverage toward transcendence, toward unconditional truth, beauty and goodness, toward unconditional love
may be that a nihilist who loves, so very radically and paradoxically unconditionally, is the closest of all to pure Unconditional Love
may be that the mystic in the Darkest Night has been transformed in the very same way and is radically but not paradoxically, the closest of all to pure Unconditional Love
Unconditional Love seems to be coming at us from every direction, hounding us all, and the lesson?
Surrender!
