Enlightenment seems to come as a grace as does contemplative prayer and relationship with God. I do not think there is a separation of either. I think both are of God or the Holy Spirit if you will. It is impossible for me to separate
God (the infinite, Holy One) with anything or any idea here on earth... because to do so, would be death! God is our source, our very being, giving breathe to us and all life forms. I believe in my heart of hearts that just because we are raised in a certain culture with certain beliefs and systems and structures, it is only our experience of that comfort zone which God also uses for our communion with God.
I see no difference between the path to God via the East or West, North or South... know it all leads home. Strong belief? Perhaps. Liberal belief. Perhaps. Yet, I have no vested interests.... no burden of proof... only my heart and love of my Beloved.... and faith. Thank you for allowing me to share that.
