"Intuition" works as the "and" word works in a sentence Phil. (IT) connects one thing to the other, as in a simple sewing method. It is our connection to God as it acts as our meeting place. Not through intellectual properties, for those can become tainted through our resistances to hear truth, but through feeling states alone are we all open to it.
Have you not ever had a "feeling" of which the intellectual properties could not account for?
Surely you have! The experience of Kundalini arousal fits somewhere in here.
That "sensing" that prompts you to act a certain way in a given situation, but unable to explain why, is God communicating to you through the sensing state, as He doesn't talk in words like us.
Well, that's the intuition I speak of and it comes through by way of feeling states only, and through feeling states, does it spark off body reactions as well. Those thoughts can only get in the way for they are influenced by our resistances as such...
-- take for example you have this knawing "feeling" not to go somewhere you had planned to go to for a while now. You are looking forward to going all the while and THIS knawing feeling not to go pops up.
You acknowledge the uneasy feeling, and then (thoughts - based on "thinking, memory and imagination" make their entrance.) They start rationalizing why you should ignore that feeling...
"Aww. I really wanted to meet so and so there, or hey, it really would make for good networking..." on and on...so the thoughts have come in to influence your final decision - you allow them to put that sensing on hold and totally dismiss the "intuition."
You go...and come to realize through your going that you shouldn't have gone for some reason or the other. Either benign or not so benign.
Your thought processes got in the way of God sending to you a valuable communication.
Try not to dismiss this totally.
