As usual Phil, you and I "see" from different perspectives, as I don't feel "I" was the one hurt.
The Pastor was - (as) a result of having unconsciously internalized previous feedings by others of the same food in that he offer it to me.
I said no thank you. He didn't. Simple.

And by the way, it wasn't the "Church" at all, just a fallible human being like us.
