I believe this attitude - of looking at the Christian Faith thru Buddhist eyes also appears in Thos. Merton's works
This is not to say that one should throw out the babny with the bath, but to be AWARE & proceed accordingly.
The Church seems to strive for balance.... not always succeeding, but definitely seeking to protect the core of Truth.....
If she did not do this, what would be the point of the Church? For we would lose all doctrine, & eventually the practice of our Faith.
