Well, Gold, you're talking mostly about St. Paul, here. The Hebrew Scriptures did not make these distinctions, considering body and soul an integrated whole. Early Hebrews weren't even sure about survival after death, as I'm sure you know.
I do understand the distinctions you're making, and think there's wisdom there. Mind, spirit, body--these do play different roles in the life of the Spirit, as you noted. But what you are calling spirit won't last very long if the mind isn't properly formed, and the body has to be properly disciplined as well.
