I am an atheist, but nothing and no one from any church in the world I've been to, including Vatican, didn't made me understand better humanity, life and how to be truly happier person then Father Anthony.
I don't understand why Vatican has anything against Father de Mello's work. Religion was invented to help guide people in the direction of purity, honesty, love etc., and if someone can touch so many lives in such a positive way as Father Anthony, I don't understand why interfere?!
Unless, Vatican feels neglected, jelous that they are not able to do the same. It is quite possible, as I have encountered number of very 'religious' people - limited people, unhappy, jelous who you wouldn't want for a neigbour not to mention to guide your life.
I admire Father de Mello's work because he came towards us as a friend, who truly cares.
However, I am dissapointed it took Vatican so long to react and not reacting ten years earlier when Father Anthony could reply. There must be a reason for that, don't you think??
