Dear April,
I am also interested in healing. I am
presently reading a book, Infinite Grace, that deals with the intersection of science and spiritual healing. The author is Diane Goldner.
It is quite interesting.
Another healer you might want to add to
your list is Olga Worral. She did much of her work at a clinic in Baltimore called the New Life
Clinic. She appeared to be quite a remarkably lady in her time.
I recently had a sore back and went to a
local healer for some work. I've noticed that
there seems to be a moment in time where the
boundaries loosen or dissolve between the healer and the healee and this, in some way, allows for the facilitation of the healing process. This phenomena is discussed in the aforementioned book in greater detail. I've also had this happen in
other healing situations. My back is feeling better and I have noticed a change in my overall
process.
Intentionality also seems to play a great part in the process. So, our intentions, thoughts, and words are important.
I also think a paradigm shift from a Newtonian/Descarte worldview to the current model
based on quantum theory is taking place. It is
a monumental shift and will happen gradually over a period of time, with much stressful growth in the process. I've heard it said that old paradigms die one person at a time. Perhaps, that
observation is correct.
Thank you for bringing up such a timely and
interesting topic.
Sincerely,
Diana
