: : But you still haven't replied to Jenn's challenge about Oscam's Razor and the resurrection.
: With all due respect, Charlotte, I really don't want to get into
some sophomoric, Josh McDowellish, Christian apologetic rhetorical
hogwash. There's a lot of "evidence that demands a verdict" and
people martyring themselves because they believe something is true
doesn't make it true, not in Islamic jihads, not with Japanese
kamikazee pilots, not with fanatics in the lion's den and not with
people praying forgiveness for those who are stoning them to death.
The simplest explanations for these behaviors are found in the
writings of Freud, Watson, Skinner, Marx, Bertrand Russell and the
like. Occam's Razor cuts both ways!

You blow me off and now Josh McDowell in the name of Freud, Watson, Skinner, Marx, and Russell. Excuse me, sir, but aren't those men atheists?
Back to Occam's Razor, though. You were the one who raised the issue, and I was the one who said that the resurrection of Jesus is the most obvious explanation for Christianity.
Consider this: all the Jews had to do was produce the body of Jesus and it was all over? Where was the body? The Apostles took it, then went out and proclaimed resurrection? Got martyred for it in the process?
So, to borrow a phrase from one of Josh McDowell's books, "Who Moved the Stone?" No philosophical answer, sir. And no changing the subject to kamikazee pilots and the like.
Frustrated with you!
