: April: I have been fortunate in not running into any of these 'fundamentalist' priests.....
Anne: Thanks for responding to my post-especially on this
Labor Day weekend. It's good to hear from you
again. Do you remember the other post from
long ago where I promised you I would read I Cor. 15:24-28
and, then, get back to you? I did read it several
times. However, I had nothing profound to say
about it so I decided to keep my mouth shut. :)
: Grace, grace, and all Grace...
Anne, I am also a grace oriented person. I
love to focus on God's Love.
: As for the sin of no-liking John Paul...there is a difference between liking and being obedient when he speaks excathedra... I don't have to like him [I do most of the time but disagree on some of his views] but when he speaks as Christ's representative on earth, then I must obey.
I don't know him personally so I don't know
if I would like him as a person or not.
I do know that I disagree with many of
the things he says and I also do not like his
managerial style. As far as I am concerned, the
leaders I prefer empower the people instead of
encouraging subservience and dependency.
They build people up instead of frequently
putting them down. They teach people to
trust and rely on the Spirit that speaks within
them. They do not put themselves up as dictatorial
idols who refuse real dialogue and pretend to
have the answers.
: May our dear Abba Father preserve us from the fundamentalist priests...but even more so, may His Holy Spirit bring change to the first type you mentioned, April. Change him to be more like the loving second priest.
Amen Anne!
I missed you Anne Angel.
: blessings, and grace,
