....both can distract one from the *main event*

This is sound advice jb. Thanks.

: still, when i *feel* a negative visceral reaction coming on..... i pray...

A negative visceral reaction...I felt like I
was being hurt by his apparent intolerance.
I could no longer stay without hurting myself.
I have a responsibility
to myself. So I 'had' to leave. Yes. I will
and do pray for these types. They are so
filled with fear and judgementalism.

: i try to place *being together* ahead of *being right* but it is a struggle and must be surrendered in prayer constantly

yes, john, I like this approach, too.
However I don't believe God wants me
to take abuse from others without speaking up
for myself. The current format of the Mass
allows for no other opinions expressed except
those of the celebrant-who is generally
a white man. The best homilies I have
heard is where all participants sit together in
silence.

: so April, Anne, others --- we await in joyful hope the coming of the Kingdom!

John, I'm curious about this. Isn't there a
way in which it is already here? We just
have to learn to see it!

Peace.

april
