I have been contemplating something lately, and if anyone could offer any input whatsoever, I would greatly appreciate it.
There is the question of time's role in our lives. God is omnipotent and knows everything that has happened and will happen because he lives in eternity. When do major events throughout history occur? For example, when did Lucifer turn against him? It was a long time ago on our clock but what about on God's clock? Could it be that the truths presented in the Bible about heavenly history are parables to help us better understand our world? For example, by understanding that God created Lucifer (Lucifer representing evil), we understand that God doesn't create anything evil and that evil is a rebellion against God, not an equally opposing seperate entity. This would mean that God is teaching us in parables, similar to the parables that Jesus taught with during his time on Earth. To restate the two main questions, did these events actually happen or are they lessons from our Lord, and how does the role of time exsist in Gods life with respect to ours? Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated.
