A Trilogy of a Friend

If I am ever siezed by the idea of a book, presently I think it would be a trilogy: The Critique of Pure Phil (an exegesis of his theses re: white-footed mice and codependency); The Critique of Practical Phil (an exegesis of his tomes on spirituality); and the Critique of Judging Phil(an exegesis of his devotion to Cardinal baseball and autumn days in the woods).

I would use my hermeneutics, of course, to bring it all together under the super-title: EuReka, FauxReka and BeauReka, subtitled: Lorenzian "Aha" Moments in the apprehension of truth, goodness and beauty (to be distinguished from PseudoReka which is when, for instance, the Tom Turkey, upon seeing the one who has fed him for a year, experiences euphoric recall on Thanksgiving eve). Similarly, another PseudoReka might be a disdain for almonds in chocolate bars further revealing a certain distance from phenomenal and noumenal reality, i.e. poor aesthetic judgment.

Lisa, write me more often. I can see where I may be able to help with some of this. love, johnboy
