What if someone else takes up the idea and beats me to the press? What if all my years of painstaking observation and experimentation are shot to shreds by some greenhorn grad student who beats me to the press with just a smidgeon of the data I've accumulated?
And, while we're at it: have you checked the standings in the National League Central Division lately?
