I botched that sentence. Our intuition would be that, in many (even most) practical, real-life situations, the probability of sin is very, very low.
Ironically, though, I have intuited that my near occasions of sin have INCREASED as I have grown, precisely because my missed assignations with Love are SO much more despicable. I need sacrament and solitude, nurturance and sustenance, grace and assistance, to constantly realign my will with Divine Providence. I intuit that I am not just making mistakes or closing my metaphysical eyes to Her Beauty, His Goodness or Its Truth but have put the valentines before the Giver. I love Her for what She does for me rather than for Herself at times knowing damn well the relationship transcends the latest box of chocolates. (I can hear it now, WHY'D ya have to bring chocolate into this ...you better take that back!)
Life IS like a box of chocolates.
