: In the third eye, see-er, see-ing and seen are united, so that what is seen is experienced as occurring in the same field as the see-ing itself. This is not a negation of distinctions, and need not lead to monistic conclusions. It is, however, an affirmation of the unitive dimension of reality: that all is occurring on the same stage, and that awareness itself is that stage.
Phil,
You say things well. You seem to speak of the UMS or Unitive Mystical State as opposed to the DMS or Dual Mystical State? Again, you speak of it so well. At times, I've briefly glimpsed the "unified field", curiously, mostly when I observe a *blemish*, a *taint*, an *imperfection*, a *stain*, etc, whether in a fabric, a photo, a piece of wood, whatever ... when, of a sudden, as I begin to have what is an immediate negative visceral reaction to the *blot*, I experience a deep affinity toward the blot, a desire to nurture and sustain it and protect it as a sign, smbol or sacrament which points toward the Perfect, Unblemished, Divine & Eternal Repositorum of Opposites ... so much for clarity, but I have intuited The Grand Unified Field where seer, seen, and sought is/are.
I am more given, however, to the DMS or an abiding awareness of me being aware and it seems as if the DMS is a staging field for the UMS ..but I discourse beyond me erudition now.
shalom,
