Good Morning:
This is a distressed new Catholic! Why am I( distressed....I read distressing things! Things like priests who will not get up and go say last rites [or whatever they call it now] over a dying parishoner...as one said...i am not going out and saying any mumbo jumbo over anyone. WHAT IS THIS?
Priests, will okay from their bishops, saying that one doesn't need to kneel during the sacrifice portion of the Mass.....and that is against all canon! WHAT IS THIS?
Supposedly Catholic Churches in which you can look forever and not find the Reserved Sacrament anywhere. WHAT IS THIS?
I could go on and on but goodness that is enough to tell me and anyone else that the Catholic Church is many. There is NOT THE Catholic Church.....and from what I can tell...alot is due to the laxity and not making things perffectly clear following or during Vatican 2........
I feel betrayed in a way....that I was misinformed might be a better way to put it....misinformed in that there is lack of 'unity' within the Church. The Liberal/Modernists have just about made THE Church just another protestant denomination. And some priest, so I have read myself, do not even believe in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist....HOW DARE THEY CALL THEMSELVE CATHOLIC!??
I am about ready to pull the plug on this stupid computer and live the conservative/traditional/or whatever life as best as possible .
Leaving disappointed, discouraged.
